Marathon Cup in Zweden
There will be a Marathon Skating Cup in Sweden 2001. It will be four competitions with a final at Vikingarannet the first year. The races will be Hudiksvall, Mora, Sollentuna (Stockholm) and Uppsala-Stockholm. The cup is open for skaters from all over the world. There will be pricemoney in several of the races and a overall price money of 3 000 dollars. The main sponsors are Intersport, Salomon and Nordic Life.
On the pressconference yesterday it was a big interest. One question was when Marathon skatin will be a Olympic event? When the sport is more spread outside Holland.
